THE ARTIFACT
Story, History & Rarity
Shohei Ohtani’s game-worn, autographed, one-of-one player exclusive New Balance Ohtani 1’s worn during his first MLB game ever played on Japanese soil. Signed in full Japanese kanji, with Tokyo Dome dirt still in the gold spikes.
A TRUE ONE-OF-ONE
The details that make these extraordinary
One artifact, one moment. Worn on Opening Day 2025 for Ohtani’s return to Japan as a Dodger and his first hit of the season. Signed in full kanji, Tokyo Dome dirt still in the spikes, his dog Decoy stitched to the heel and illustrated on the soles.
There will never be another.
The soles
Meet Decoy.
Flip them over and Ohtani’s beloved dog is right there. Decoy is illustrated across both soles and stitched into the custom embroidery, a personal touch no other pair will ever carry.
The Market
The most global athlete in sports
Shohei Ohtani has built the strongest collector market in modern sports, with global demand consistently establishing new benchmarks across trading cards, game-used equipment, and milestone artifacts.
Signed in kanji
大谷翔平 — Written By Shohei Ohtani
Ohtani almost never signs in full kanji. On these shoes, he signed his name in complete Japanese characters, a rare and deliberate mark that ties the artifact directly to his return to Japan.

If the item does not sell, the auction is canceled, or the transaction is otherwise not completed, no prize will be awarded. If the winning bidder fails to complete the purchase, or if the final auction price is adjusted, voided, or otherwise modified, The Realest reserves the right to determine the official final auction price or cancel the contest.
